Chili-Charred Edamame

Spice up your dinner table with this Chili-Charred Edamame. It's a really simple appetizer that's packed with protein and fiery chili oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1 pound unshelled edamame
  • 1 Tbsp. chili oil
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

Instructions

  • Steam edamame according to package.
  • In a medium-sized frying pan, heat sesame oil over low-medium heat. Add edamame, chili oil and sea salt. Mix together and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow for even charring.
  • Top with sesame seeds if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe is gluten-free.
NOTE: The chili oil can get a little smoky, so be sure to stir frequently to avoid burning.
