It’s possible that this is the easiest recipe I’ll ever post on this blog—it has only four ingredients and takes almost no time at all to make. But the flavor is strong, so don’t let any of that fool you.
Several years ago a friend told me she goes to the movies with her husband and he orders popcorn from the concession stand with a side of the sliced jalapeños that usually come with those lame theater nachos. He doesn’t eat the peck of pickled peppers though. Instead he coats his popcorn with their juice. Genius!
I’ve never done this at a movie theater, but I did adopt the practice at home and tweaked it a bit for what might be my favorite snack ever: spicy, “buttery” popcorn that I pretty much devour before my wife gets any while we watch movies.
What do you put on your popcorn? While this is my go-to topping, I’d love to hear some other thoughts on the subject, so let me know in the comments. And I’d love it if you gave this recipe a try and tell me how it went!
